On February 2008, Texas II took a ride to Kingsville with the highlight being a tour of the King Ranch. We had a good turn out for the ride with approximately 25 members and guests.  We were greeted by fellow members of the Blue Knights from the Kingsville Chapter who welcomed us, escorted us to CB’s Bar-B-Que for lunch and to the downtown shopping district for shopping and sightseeing.  We appreciate their hospitality.  We had a safe trip and everyone enjoyed the ride.

       On February 23, 2008, Texas II members and guests rode to Corpus Christi for a business meeting luncheon.  We had approximately 16 members and guests present.  Those in attendance included:  Albert Mata, Andy Zamora, Joe Colon, Joel and Marissa Morales, James Sexton and guest Linda, Martin “Doc”

and Isabel Glore, Jesse and Miriam Saldana, guest Eddie, Rolando and Debby Torres, Ramon Mojica and Joe Rodriguez.  We were scheduled to meet Texas II members from the Harlingen-Brownsville area at Kingsville but; they did not show.  We had our business meeting at Joe’s Crab Shack on Ocean Drive.  Discussions included our website and the great job done by James who created it; the patches; preparations for the next meeting which will be held at South Padre Island on March 22, 2008 (location and time to be announced later); and future rides.  The next ride will be to Kerrville on March 7^th – March 9^th.  Other rides discussed were to Kerrville in May, Rot Rally in Austin on June 12^th – 15^th and the Roar by the Shore Bikefest  in October.  We enjoyed a good lunch, rode a bit around Corpus then headed home.   The only casualty was a

helmet that blew off when the strap broke and caused

some anxiety attempting to

retrieve it from the heavily traveled highway.  It was hit by a truck and was a total loss.   Overall, it was a good trip everyone enjoyed.
